A new report by MoveBudda puts Avon Park in the top tier for those looking for a place to live in Florida. The City of Charm joins Sarasota and Ocala for those migrating here from other places. The survey says 229 people are moving in, for every 100 residents who are moving out.
MoveBudda is a technology company reportedly obsessed with building tools to help people relocate.
The city of Sebring is getting ready for a big test that may cause some consternation for residents there. A fire hydrant flow testing program is planned, that could cause brown water throughout the system.
Officials say the discoloration will be alarming to customers, but is not unsafe – and will not require boiling.
The test is a requirement by the Insurance Service Office to verify there’s enough water available for firefighting purposes. It’s slated to start September sixth.
The announcement was made last month that the historic Crutchfield Groves were up for sale. This Saturday, they will go up on the auction block. In all there will be 75 lots comprising nearly 1,500 acres that will go up for bid.
The auction will be held at the Champion for Children’s Circle Theatre this Saturday morning beginning at 10am. Higgenbotham Realty will be handling the sale. They did a similar sell-off when the famous Withers & Harshman holdings were dissolved.
